Having narrowly averted an (under)world war, Cat Crawfield wants nothing more than a little downtime with her vampire husband, Bones. Unfortunately, her gift from New Orleans’ voodoo queen just keeps on giving–leading to a personal favor that sends them into battle once again, this time against a villainous spirit.
Ok. With that out of the way, Frost has done it again with One Grave at a Time. Novel #6 with her Night Huntress Series packs a serious punch. If you are looking for the sexy as hell intimate scenes or the usual fights against other vampires, you may be a little disappointed. This book leans more toward Urban Fantasy then Romance but is still great. Instead of the normal scenarios Cat and Bones find themselves getting into, they are asked to help get rid of a crazy as all get out ghost that likes to take a physical form every Halloween to rid the world of three supposed witches. Sounds great until it dawns on them that it’s not possible to actually kill him.
If you think that is a lot of conflict, Frost throws in a new player, Jason Madigan. He takes over Don’s old position while demoting Tate in the process. No one has any idea what he knows or what his motivation is behind his repetitive jingles going through his mind. We do know that he could use some work on his timing.
