A sexy new M/M romance from Entangled’s Brazen imprint…

Chad Lake only showed up at his sister's party for the free food, but when he spots an uptight nerd at the edge of the crowd, he can't resist trying to ruffle the guy's perfect bow tie and impeccable hair. The hottie’s ready for him, though, and in the end, it's Chad who's left wide-eyed, his ears still ringing with the filthy things Bow Tie whispered in his ear. No one gets the upper hand on Chad. Ever.

Owen Hawkins has heard all about the cocky Adonis from Chad’s sister—the same sister who holds Owen’s career advancement in her hands. He has every intention of steering clear of the other man…until Chad's sexy taunts push him too far. There’s something intriguing about Chad, and even though Owen knows that getting tangled up with the infuriating man is trouble, he can’t seem to stay away…

I stumbled across the tour sign-up for this book and jumped at the chance to review this title. Megan Erickson has quickly become one of my go-to authors and she proved, yet again, that she earned that place.

I was introduced to one sexy Chad Lake and Owen Hawkins, who was able to set the virtual pages aflame with their first look. I have found that most of the M/M that I have read has one of the heroes still in the closet or denying their true sexual nature, but that wasn’t the case here. Both men knew their sexual orientation and were out and about to the general public. It was so refreshing to not deal with that played out storyline.

Chad was a great character that instantly comes of as a big bad alpha male, but we get to see the soft heart and insecurities, which only endeared him to me more. I like me some sexy alphas, but they can get quite tiresome since they are are usually closed off and can act like a gigantic asshole. Chad was not one of these alpha’s and I think that if Ms. Erickson wrote him any other way, I wouldn’t have liked him as much.

To me, Owen was a surprise. Originally, he seemed to be shy and have some social issues (I know exactly how he feels!) and he would be this meek and mild man. NOPE. He was more alpha than Chad and I fell in love with Owen. Chad was sexy, but good god Owen had me hot and bothered! He has no problems saying his mind and telling Chad what to do. It was hot as hell! But behind all that, Owen enjoyed how confident Chad made him feel, and started to grow attached to him and it was really lovely. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about him.

The pace of the story, secondary characters, and the conflicts worked perfectly for the story. Except I had one slight annoyance with how something played out. Sometimes I find the conflicts that have the couple breaking it off with one another beyond dumb. The conflict towards the end of the book was fine, but how Chad handled it annoyed me. I felt like with the direction he was going in his mind, he could have gone a different direction and not had to break it off with Owen. But I know men are rather dense at times and don’t make a lick of sense, so I know I can give Chad a little bit of leeway. With that said, it was by no means, a factor that made me dislike the book any. I gobbled this book up like a Thanksgiving feast, ending in an enjoyable stupor when I was done.
